Born and bred in Milan, Italy. Photography is more than a simple hobby for me.
I started taking pictures back in 2005 by using a compact digital camera, a Canon IXUS S400, and soon switched to a digital reflex camera, a Canon 450D. In 2011 I got a used DSLR, a Canon 7D, bought from Milo, a friend and a great photographer. After a couple of years by practicing on APS-C, I switched to a full frame sensor DSLR (a Canon 5D) and in addition, I started  using a pro compact camera for street photography.
In parallel to digital photography, I had the opportunity to learn basic concepts of film photography, by practicing on different film cameras and films (35mm mainly), both in colors and in black and white.
In addition, I started a project on aphotomaniac.tumblr.com in December 2009 (no more supported) then linked to my Instagram account (andrea.gracis), with the aim to select and post only few shots worthy of being shown.
